6. What are custom settings in salesforce?
A. Custom settings are similar to custom objects. Application developers can create custom sets of data and associate custom data for an organization, profile, or specific user. All custom settings data is exposed in the application cache, which enables efficient access without the cost of repeated queries to the database. Formula fields, validation rules, flows, Apex, and SOAP API can then use this data.

There are two types of custom settings.
  1. List custom settings
  2. Hierarchy custom settings
7. What are custom metadata in salesforce?
A. Custom metadata types enable you to create your own setup objects whose records are metadata rather than data. These are typically used to define application configurations that need to be migrated from one environment to another, or packaged and installed.

Rather than building apps from data records in custom objects or custom settings, you can create custom metadata types and add metadata records, with all the manageability that comes with metadata: package, deploy, and upgrade. Querying custom metadata records doesn't count against SOQL limits.

8. What are custom labels in salesforce?
A. Custom labels enable developers to create multilingual applications by presenting information
(for example, help text or error messages) to users in their native language. A custom label is a custom text value that can be accessed from Apex classes, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components. If Translation Workbench is enabled for your Salesforce org, you can translate these labels into any of the languages that Salesforce supports. You can create up to 5,000 custom labels, and each label can have up to 1,000 characters.
